I hope you’ve been enjoying Don’t Miss Broadstairs so far. I’ve been loving rounding up everything that’s going on across CT10 over the last three weeks.
April has been a bumper month of activity, and this week is no different. For those of you with little ones still on their Easter Holidays, you’ll see plenty of family fun to be had, but there’s also various wellness activities to attend and some wine tasting, gigs and food offers thrown in to the mix.

🎥 Film: Midwinter Break (12A)

Based on the acclaimed novel of the same name, this film follows a retired Irish couple, played by Leslie Manville and Ciarán Hinds, who take a life-changing trip to Amsterdam. The Guardian gave it five stars, but go judge it for yourselves.

Artist Emma O’Rourke and Lily Cleo of Cleopatra Yoga have announced an exciting Summer Solstice event this week, on Sat 20 June. It includes yoga, drawing and painting in a secret orchard that has never been open to the public before (!) We are IN. Early birds get a discount – find out more and book here.
Even more on the Emma O’Rourke front… excitingly she’s also announced she’s snapped up 8 Nelson Place – Kinder Collective’s former home. We’ll wait to hear more, but expect a studio and project space with events and details to be announced in due course. Loving all the art spaces opening up in town at the mo!

Have you seen the new Folk Week brochure cover design? Broadstairs-based designer-maker Clare Youngs has just been announced as the winner of their competition to create the 2026 design, and we think you’ll agree it looks amazing.
Want to see your cat on the big screen? Then send a picture of your kitty to The Palace Cinema. They’re screening CatVideoFest on Sun 3 May as part of this year’s Festival of Cats. Send your best shot to them this month so they can add it to a special Palace showreel of local cats on the screen before the show starts!
