Plus read about our upcoming DMB launch party!
Exciting news to start the newsletter with this week – you’re invited to the Don’t Miss Broadstairs launch party!
We’re throwing a little get together to celebrate Don’t Miss Broadstairs and our first few successful months building out our edition in Broadstairs. We’re already helping over 1000 of you discover more events and to not miss out on everything the town has to offer.
As it’s Broadstairs, we had to hold it on the beach. Come down to Finxs Beach Bar on Mon 13 July from 6.30pm - 8.30pm to say hello, meet the Don’t Miss team behind the newsletter, and get to know some friendly new faces from around town.
There’s no agenda, we just love throwing a get together! Just good company, sea air, and the chance to meet the people who love Broadstairs as much as you do. Whether you’ve been reading from day one or you’re brand new to us, you’re very welcome.
It’s completely FREE to attend. Just turn up, grab a drink, and come and have a chat. But if you could register at the below link, just so we know how many people to expect, we’d really appreciate it.
We’d love to meet as many of you as possible!

Don’t Miss This: The UK Creative Festival / Wed - Thu 1-2 July
The UK Creative Festival lands next week and there’s still time to grab your tickets. Crucially the festival isn’t just for big London agencies, but anyone who works in creative industries across Thanet. So what’s on that might tempt you away from the laptop?
A few of the ‘Don’t Get Comfortable’ programme highlights: There are panels and keynotes that tackle the big questions, activation sessions and workshops, morning wellness sessions which feature yoga, sauna and plunge slots, informal networking and drinks both evenings and a creative careers fair. Under 25? You get in for free.
And don’t forget Don’t Miss readers get 15% off when booking a ticket with our code - DMM15%OFF.
Finally, 3 Things To Know…
The RSPCA Isle of Thanet branch opened a brand new shop in Broadstairs High Street this weekend! Returning to the town once more, there’s plenty of pre-loved bargains to be had. Go visit them at 110 High Street.
In more ‘soon to be open’ news, have you seen the big Wagamama signs at Westwood Cross? The first Thanet branch of the chain will be opening up there very soon, right next to Costa. So we’ll no longer have to travel all the way to Canterbury for their Chicken Katsu Curry.
Also… Did we mention we’re holding a launch party for Don’t Miss Broadstairs? Don’t Miss Out! Come see us on the beach at Finxs Beach Bar on Mon 13 July from 6.30pm. Register your attendance here so we know how many’s coming. We can’t wait to see you 🌞
Thanks for reading! If you found this useful, please share it so we can continue to grow in Broadstairs and beyond!
And if you missed it… last week’s newsletter still has lots of things happening that you might want to know about.
Don't Miss: Latte Art Throwdown, New Beach View Café & Cinema Walk
I’ll be honest, I’m slightly delirious writing this newsletter as I set my alarm for 3:40am to see in the Summer Solstice yesterday. Who else headed to the beach to see the sunrise on the longest day of the year?
