I’m writing this after a very colourful day enjoying Pride in Broadstairs. What a Sunday and what a turn out ❤️🧡💛💚💙💜
The shops and cafes were covered in colourful flags all around town, there was a great turn out for the parade, and plenty of happy vibes. The beach was also buzzing thanks to the Harbour Wallbanger race kicking off on Viking Bay. One of those great September weekends.

🍻 Oktoberfest at the Dog & Sparrow / Fri 25 – Sun 27 Sept
It’s the Dog & Sparrow’s inaugural Oktoberfest this weekend! Running from Fri until Sun, they will have four of the official German Oktoberfest beers pouring, along with Augustiner in bottles. Plus, there will be Hammerschlagen for people to play (a traditional German game involving nails and hammers, what could possibly go wrong?) There will also be pretzels & sauerkraut, currywurst, steins and lederhosen, all available from 2pm on Fri & all weekend long, or until they sell out. Prost to that 🍻
The Dog & Sparrow is a small, friendly bar in the heart of Broadstairs serving German & Belgium beers, wine and charcuterie. Owner Stu took it over in June. Head on down to check them out.

This moving and fast-paced book tells the tale of an autistic girl who befriends and saves an endangered wolf. The sun may still be making an appearance, but a heads up that lifeguards are no longer on our beaches mid-week, and they won’t be on them at all after this weekend. Stay safe if you’re continuing with your dips.
